This industrial sous vide cook tank model first looks like two tall water tanks standing beside a long, low processing unit, all in the same brushed metallic finish. The real system is industrial food manufacturing equipment that slow-cooks vacuum-sealed products in a circulating water bath, and those two tanks hold the temperature-regulated water the process depends on.
Step closer and the detail starts to add up. Each tank has a conical bottom, a top manway, valve fittings and piping running down the sides. An operator platform with grated decking, slim handrails and a short stair runs along the front of the cook tank. Control cabinets at either end carry small touchscreen displays and red and blue push buttons, and rows of fastener detail line the tank walls.
Then come the parts visitors can handle:
- The lids lift on hinge brackets and stand upright.
- Under them, the cooking basket, a grid of bars, comes all the way out of the tank.
The model measures 18.5" L x 31.5" W x 17.5" H and sits on a light grey base with black sides.
