Airplane Models
Custom airplane model by KiwiMill, built for trade shows, sales, and training.
Aircraft models we build
KiwiMill builds aircraft models for companies that make what goes on, in, or around airplanes, and for military units and memorials. Builds include a 1/9 scale fighter carrying a manufacturer's fuel tanks, refueling pod, and bomb rack on a base that lights them from below; a fuselage section in laser-cut rolled steel with working brass doors to show a cargo net installed; and a model of a 35-foot flight simulator that fits on a sales-meeting table.
We've also built a 1/4 scale helicopter with a full interior, outdoor display aircraft with 50- and 65-inch wingspans, and an airport layout whose planes and vehicles can be rearranged for each show.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an airplane model cost?
Models typically start around $6,000. Multi-model projects often run $10,000 and up. For aircraft, price depends on wingspan and scale, interior detail, any external stores or products mounted on the airframe, lighting, and whether the model will live outdoors. A quote is free.
Can the model feature our component rather than the whole aircraft?
Yes, and it often should. We've built a fighter model whose real subject was the fuel tanks, refueling pod, and bomb rack hung under it, and a fuselage section built only to show a cargo net installed inside. The aircraft gives context; your product gets the light.
Can an aircraft model go outdoors?
Yes. We've built aircraft for outdoor display, including a jet with a 50-inch wingspan and a transport with a 65-inch wingspan for a memorial, with scribed panel lines for gear doors and control surfaces.
Can the aircraft be shown in flight, hanging from a ceiling?
Yes. We've built a UAV model to hang from a customer's ceiling, and we build the hanging structure into the airframe.
