Information we collect

We do not run newsletters, customer accounts, or chat widgets on this website. Most of what we collect is what you choose to send on our Request a Quote and E-Mail KiwiMill forms, which may include:

• Name
• Company
• Phone number
• E-mail address
• Project description or message
• Files you upload (such as photos, renderings, or CAD)

Our servers may also record standard technical logs (for example IP address, browser type, and pages requested) needed to operate and secure the website.

How you found us. When you arrive from an advertisement, a tagged link, or another website, we record how you got here and attach it to your enquiry if you send one. This is limited to: the Google Ads click identifier, any campaign tags on the link you followed, the name of the site that referred you, and the first page of ours that you saw. We keep the referring site’s name only — not the full address of the page you came from — and the page you landed on without any search terms attached to it. We use this to understand which of our marketing actually reaches the people we can help. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not shared for advertising.

How we use information

We use form submissions and related files to:

• Respond to your inquiry or quote request
• Prepare estimates and discuss your project
• Manage the job internally if you become a customer
• Operate, secure, and improve the website
• Understand which advertising and referrals bring us genuine enquiries

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

Where information goes

When you submit a form, your information may be processed through:

• KiwiDock / our internal CRM tools — to receive and manage quote and contact requests
• Microsoft 365 e-mail — to send and receive project correspondence
• Our website hosting environment — to deliver the site and store operational logs
• Google Ads — advertising and conversion measurement on the site (Google tag ID AW-1059521274)

Uploaded files are kept indefinitely for our business records and project work. They are not sent to a third party for processing on your behalf beyond the service providers listed above that help us run the shop and website.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies as needed for site operation and for Google Ads / analytics measurement. Google may collect information about your use of the site according to its own policies.

We also set one cookie of our own, named kd_attr, which remembers how you first arrived at our site — the advertisement, campaign tag, or referring site — for up to 90 days, so that if you send us an enquiry later we can tell which of our marketing brought you here. It is only set if you arrive from an advertisement, a tagged link, or another website: if you type our address or use a bookmark, no such cookie is created. It holds no name, e-mail address, or other contact detail.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, Google’s ad settings. Clearing them removes this information from your device; enquiries you have already sent keep the details recorded at the time.

Retention

Quote and contact submissions, including attachments, are retained indefinitely so we can reference prior conversations and projects. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Information about how you arrived is stored with the enquiry it belongs to and kept for as long as that enquiry is.

Children

This website is intended for business customers and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

To ask a question about this policy, or to request access to or correction of information you submitted through our forms, e-mail derek@kiwimill.com. We will respond as required by applicable U.S. and Canadian law for our B2B operations.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
