Mission Critical Group (MCG) builds the power backbone of modern data centers — and inside its containerized power solutions, rows of switchgear do the heavy lifting. That equipment normally hides behind container walls, so this build gives it the spotlight: a scale model of the switchgear lineup itself, a companion to the 48" Power Container model we built for the same team.
At 16" long, 10" high, and just 3" deep, this is a model made for the tabletop. Small doesn't mean simplified — each section of the lineup is modeled individually, with breaker compartments, control panels, vents, and instrument details picked out crisply enough to read from across a conference table or up close in hand.
That size is the point. A model this compact travels in a carry-on, sets up in seconds, and goes where a booth-sized model can't: sales calls, customer meetings, an executive's desk. Together with its big sibling, it lets MCG tell the same story at every scale — the container on the show floor, the switchgear on the table.
