When Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) wanted to show data center operators the breadth of their cooling portfolio — not as spec sheets, but as something you can walk around and point at — they came to KiwiMill.
The result is a 60" × 54" animated scale model that puts five different BAC data center cooling systems side by side on a single base: from the TrilliumSeries dry cooler that runs on no water at all, to the Series 3000 evaporative cooling tower, to immersion cooling built for AI and HPC loads. These five systems would never operate together in one facility — and that's the point. On one model, BAC's team can walk a customer across the whole trade-off spectrum, from least water to least electricity, and land on the right fit for their application.
Each system is modeled with its supporting equipment — cooling towers, chillers, pumps, and CRAH units serving open-roof server halls — while animated red and blue LED runs trace every cooling loop in motion. On a dim show floor, it stops traffic.
The entire model was scratch-built at KiwiMill and engineered for trade show life: it travels safely, sets up in minutes, and runs all day. It's a working explanation of an invisible system — and it does in thirty seconds what a brochure can't do in ten pages.
