Pad-mounted transformers spend their working lives sitting quietly behind a locked green cabinet — which is exactly why a scale model is such a useful way to show what's inside one. Wasion Americas builds three-phase pad-mounted units from 45 to 5,000 kVA for utilities, data centers, solar sites, and industrial customers, and asked KiwiMill for a desktop model that would put the whole product in a prospect's hands.
The exterior is faithful to the real unit: the two-door dead-front cabinet with its recessed door panels, hinges and handle, the raised roof deck, the corrugated radiator banks along the back, and the Wasion badge on the lower door. Swing the doors open and the model shows what a spec sheet can't — the divided high-voltage and low-voltage compartments, bushings, tap changer, and gauges, all reproduced in miniature.
Small enough to carry to a meeting and tough enough to survive one, and is equally at home on a trade show counter, in a sales presentation, or on a customer's desk after the visit.
