Ship Propulsion Model

This ship propulsion model demonstrates three different ways electric motors can be added to a ship’s propulsion system. The model itself consisted of a “slice” or portion of a ship’s engine room. Miniaturized models of our client’s product (in blue) demonstrated the three different mounting styles. Using one model to illustrate a variety of uses for our client’s product was a cost effective, efficient way of showing its capabilities.

The electric motors were 3D printed. The hull of the ship propulsion model was made out of foam and sheet plastic.

The audience for this scale model is very familiar with our client’s product. When this is the case, a simplified design works best to showcase the product without a lot of distracting outside details.
