Large Working Pumpjack Model

This is a large model of a working pumpjack.

We designed this pumpjack model in-house modeling the entire project in CAD using only references pictures from the internet as a guide. Our engineer is an expert at taking limited information and turning it into a beautiful, functioning model.

A gearmotor was used to turn the cranks and move the beam and horsehead up and down simulating a working pumpjack. The structural and functioning parts of the model were made out of formed aluminum for low weight and to give the model rigidity and strength. The model also features bearings on all pivot points for added longevity of the model. Most of the visual aspects of the model were 3D printed on our large in-house 3d printers including the counter-weights and motor cover.
