This custom Animated PX Pressure Exchanger Model was engineered to clearly demonstrate how Energy Recovery’s PX technology operates. Designed for trade shows, presentations, and technical demonstrations, the model uses synchronized motion and lighting to visualize internal processes that are difficult to show with the actual equipment.
To accurately communicate how the PX Pressure Exchanger functions, KiwiMill designed and built a fully animated display featuring rotating components, color-coded lighting, and programmed timing. The animations illustrate fluid movement, energy transfer, and the internal cycling process—making complex engineering concepts easy to understand for any audience.
The demonstration is driven by two Arduino controllers: one powering the stepper motor to rotate the central chamber, and the other controlling the RGB LED lighting sequences. A hall-effect sensor was integrated to ensure perfect synchronization between the lighting effects and mechanical movement.
This model helps Energy Recovery explain system behavior quickly and effectively—ideal for trade shows, sales meetings, training sessions, and customer demonstrations. The visual clarity provided by lighting and motion makes the PX technology far easier to understand than diagrams or static displays.
KiwiMill’s engineering and fabrication team created every component of this model in-house, combining mechanical design, electronics integration, machining, and professional finishing. With decades of experience producing animated industrial and engineering models, we specialize in transforming complex processes into engaging, easy-to-understand visual displays.
