KiwiMill specializes in custom models that are one-time orders. Our professional model makers design and fabricate unique scale models for our clients that are often never repeated again. Each project is a brand new request that is scratch-built in its entirety.

Occasionally, though, there is a need for multiple copies of the same model. Often these multiples are part of a single order, made at the same point in time. A client asks for 3 models of the same product, to be made concurrently and sent to different sales offices, or trade shows. In these instances, after the model is designed, multiple copies can be fabricated, assembled and finished in a fashion similar to assembly line work, though of course still hand-made in nature.

Very rarely KiwiMill receives a repeat order for the very same custom model that was previously built. This was the case recently with this series of skid models. In this instance, files were saved from the last build, and could be used to rebuild the model not once, but twice more so far. We are glad that this particular scale model is in such demand that multiple copies are needed for various international shows.
