Airplane Fuselage Model

KiwiMill recently built an airplane fuselage model for a company that makes cargo nets. The cargo nets are installed in planes to protect pilots from shifting items during turbulence.

The idea behind the model was to replicate the part of the airplane body that houses the cargo net.

Laser cut rolled steel was used for the body of the airplane fuselage model. It also included 3D printed parts, machined Ren board for the curved ribbing, and working doors made of brass.

The client installed their own miniature cargo net once they received the model from KiwiMill.
